Color of the 3rd Kind 1992

Photographs have finally been recognized by major art museums and galleries in the '80s. Somehow, it was limited in black and white works. Since 1986, Lee was experimenting a series of color works that created unexpected color results on his photographs by lighting effect of color reflections. This series of work begins with tabletop still lives, then worked with live models as titled "Figure Composition" pieces.
Some pieces in this series were shown at New York midtown and Soho galleries. The whole series was first time displayed at Taipei Fine Art Museum in 1992. A few works in "Figure Composition" had finally collected by fine art museums in 2020 and 2021.
