Humans have shared the earth with other animals since the dawn of our existence. Over time we have become inter-dependent with many of our fellow creatures, sharing our lives, our labors, our play and our travels. The wonderful strangeness of the Circus reveals this symbiotic relationship at its most extreme, where animals perform like people; people perform like animals and audiences retreated into children. The curtain is up. Welcome to CIRCUS. |

Circus has been first opened at East Gallery in Taipei, Oct, 2010. It contains the main mural in 6 panels (mid row left) plus 10 portraits. The following exhibitions had installed at the Tamgram Art Center in Shanghai, Mar 2011, then the Bridge Gallery in Beijing, Oct, 2011, also included in Next Body Digital Art in Taipei, Oct~Nov 2011, Gallery Now in Seoul, Spring 2012 and InArt Space, Tainan, Fall 1012.
Circus is now included in Animal Instinct; Photographs of Daniel Lee at San Antonio Museum of Art, Texax, Sept 2011 ~ Feb 2012. |
